Project Description

The renovation of a 6 bedroom house in the Sefton Park Conservation Area. The existing house is a large Victorian semidetached property that is Grade II listed and is understood to date back to the 1860s. Whilst the property retains many of its original features, it is in a poor state of repair and Octo Architects have been instructed to lead a team of consultants to attain listed building consent and oversee the construction works. The brief for project also includes the upgrading of the thermal fabric and the implementation of eco-technologies including solar panels (including battery storage) to provide clean electricity, an MVHR to provide fresh filtered air and an air source heat pump to provide heat through a new underfloor heating system.

Interior Design Study

We worked with a very talented up and coming interior design practice called ‘The Hexagonal House’ to imagine the finished refurbished space of the property. The Hexagonal House provided specifications for wall finishes which we detailed through room data sheets and a 3D illustration exercise. The images below are reflective of that interior design exercise.
