Sensory deprivation as a relaxation technique produces significant physical and mental benefits and Octo Architects were tasked with bringing this plain, white-walled retail unit in the heart of Liverpool's Commercial District to life. Our ambition was to create a series of interventions within a single large space, combining subtle 'everyday' materials such as timber and brick with subtle lighting to generate a calming atmosphere
